Thanksgiving #2 - Syracuse, UT

This feast was indoors, and very cozy.
Michael slaved over a hot stove for hours.......no that was the oven and it must have been over the 5 pumkin pies he baked! He also made some of the best choc/butterscotch mousse pies that I have ever tasted. We had fun hanging up Christmas lights, attending the Nativity Festival, watching Mike and Allisha sing in the choir, hanging out and playing on the computer, and playing games till all hours of the morning!!! We had a great time, and can't wait for next year!!!!

Thanksgiving #1 - Las Vegas

So we celebrated Thanksgiving the same number of times that Santa checks his list!!! (twice, remember.....) Anyway, the first was nice and toasty and outdoors in Vegas at my parents house! We ate lots and visited lots and had a grand time with some of the Harris family, and some of the Hansen side, too. It was great!!

Savannah's choir concert

This year they did some cute Thanksgiving songs. She really enjoys choir.

Just a little behind....

I am going to do my best to update everyone in one message, about the Price family's most recent adventures.......
October was semi-uneventful until Halloween weekend when we ventured into "twin-territory". (We took a trip to Colorado to see my brother and his girls.) We spent our time playing at the park, soaking up the beautiful CO sunshine. The weather was gorgeous and not too cold for trick-or-treating. Here are a couple of pics of the kids dressed up.Jackson was Darth Vader, Riley was "Christine" from Phantom of the Opera, Savannah was a glamour witch, and Zane was one of the cutest chickens I have ever seen!!

Here is the whole group with Adalie as "Tigger", Akira as a little Devil (which she definitey is NOT), and Audrie as a sweet little strawberry!

November began (fairly normally), and then Jarrod had a gall bladder attack, and went into the emergency room. There (before they diagnosed the Gall stones) they ran an EKG to make sure that he wasn't having a heart attack.....thank goodness he wasn't! Then they did a CAT scan and discovered the stones. After a small (but fierce) battle with our insurance, Jarrod headed into surgery and had his Gall bladder removed. Here is a good pic of the after math. I hope he doesn't kill me for this one.... ;)

AND, Riley got all her long hair chopped off.......We love it!!

Glad that's over!

Thank goodness it's FRIDAY! This past week has been rough - all of us were sick! I am thinking there was some nasty "bug" that we caught. There have been times where 2 of us were sick, but at one point (this past week) ALL of us were sick at the same time. I am still not 100%, but feeling much better, and now jsut working on the rest of the fam!

Jackson is 7!!

When Jackson was little he used to wear this "Super Hero Cape" - he had to have it EVERYWHERE!!!!!! It was so cute, and SO Jackson!!!

Wow! I can't believe how fast the years go by. I remember bringing home this little (9lb. 1 oz.) baby boy and HOW sweet he was, and still is! This little man brings me so much joy! These are some fun things to know about Jackson:
1 - he HATES to get in trouble...........he tries REALLY hard to be good (but he actually doesn't have to try that hard!!)
2- He is a perfectionist (of sorts) he thinks he should be able to do everything perfectly the first time he tries it - this leads to much frustration, I am afraid....
3- He LOVES to play the Wii - Actually he loves to play G-Force on the Wii and has solved it more than once
4- He just learned to read, and has surprised me A LOT with his natural ability
5- He has such a kind heart, and has had to learn that it is ok to stand up for himself
6- He has the most unbelievable giggle - and I tickle him a lot just to hear it!!
7- He is a peacemaker
8- When he grows up he wants to be a racecar driver - last he told me!
9- He was the happiest and sweetest baby boy I could have ever asked for - he had the sweetest smile (I'm going to try to find some pics)
10 - I can always count on Jackson to do what he is told - even if he doesn't want to - he will do it eventually!
Happy 7th Birthday Jackson - WE love you so much, and are so thankful for you in our family! You bring so much joy and fulfillment to out family, and we are honored to be your parents!! Always strive to be your best and you will do many great things!!!!!

St. George Temple

We took the kids over to St. George Saturday evening for a wedding reception, and since we were all dressed up, we decided to head over to the Temple grounds and take some pictures! I cherish the moments I spend on the Temple grounds. There is such a beauty and tranquility there, and I know it is as close to heaven we can get on earth. I also love taking my children there and teaching them the most important life lessons. I love the feeling of being so close to my Savior and having my family there with me. I can only imagine that it will be this perfect in heaven!!

Quail Lake for Labor Day

Yes, we went to the Reunion for Labor Day (Weekend), but had to come home Sunday for church. So, we packed up the Price crew again, dogs included this time, and headed up to Quail Lake Resevoir. I had only been there once, but we knew we didn't want the "swimmers itch" from Sandhollow. It was nice to get out and let everyone play in the lake. The beaches weren't very "suntan" friendly......they were VERY rocky and not very sandy :( But, we managed to have fun anyway!! Our doggies also enjoyed themselves swimming and munching on the plentiful crawdads!

Campfires, smores, and dirt.........

Is there any better way to spend Labor Day weekend, than camping??? At Pine Valley?? That's where you would have found the Price's this past weekend. It was so much fun. We went to Pine Valley for the annual Harris Family Reunion, and had ourselves a darn good time!!!! I believe that we have established some new traditions -
Pictionary Washer TournamentsKaraokeand re-established some old relationships. I was able to re-connect with cousins that I haven't seen or heard from in years!!!! I'm so glad Lindsey and Jason!! Lindsey, I wish you and Charles the very best, and you look as beautiful as I remember you!!!! :) I love catching up with all the family and hearing about what everyone is up to, in between the few minutes that my kids are entertaining themselves! No, actually they were really good this year, and kept themselves pretty busy - I think Zane just wore himself out every night we were there. The kids spent most of the day Saturday catching bugs and putting them in Maycee's bug box. It was so nice of her to share her bug box! Adalie and Audrie sat at the table and colored for a bit, they were so cute!!!
